Project completed my summer 2019 studio course on landscape design.
The Riverside Garden is designed to be located in Galt, Ontario, and seeks to revitalize an underused public space. Currently, the edge of the river is inaccessible and the river water is polluted with toxins and trash. The project adds accessible paths down the riverside and adds flowers to provide a food source to native insect and hummingbird species. The garden also extends down into the river in the form of floating wetlands which improve the water quality via phytoremediation. The floating wetlands provide a habitat for aquatic species and makes the water cleaner to swim in.

Flower Species
The icons indicate the use of the plants; the butterfly, bee, and hummingbird indicate that this plant provides food for these species; the human icon indicates that the plants have a nice aroma to be enjoyed by the garden's users; the water droplet indicates that the plant is used in the water gardens and helps absorb toxins from the river.
