I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. My home is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. I am deeply grateful for the land and resources I have benefited from, while recognizing that this land rightfully belongs to the Six Nations as per the Haldimand Treaty, an agreement between Canada, the crown and the Six Nations. I am committed to learning more about the rich histories and diverse cultures of the Indigenous communities across Canada. I also recognize that colonial systems and structures continue to impact Indigenous communities, and I commit to ongoing reflection and action in support of Indigenous Peoples.
