Project completed for my Winter 2018 studio course.
Le Module is a library designed to be situated in downtown Toronto. The building is based on eight square meter modules repeated across the property, each fulfilling a different function of the library. On the first floor, we find the entrance and parking lot. The second floor is the more traditional library space: bookshelves, computers, and reading spaces. The third floor is the community space with outdoor modules and community program rooms. The library is constructed with concrete columns located at each corner of the modules. It is also built with concrete walls and white opaque glass. The green roof helps to mitigate the heat island effect and manage stormwater.
Library modules: bookshelves, reading area, computers, outdoor garden, community room, and outdoor bench (top left, clockwise).
