Designed labels for Foster Skincare's rebrand in 2022. Eluma Beauty acquired Miiko Skin in fall of 2021, and rebranded it into Foster Skincare. A total of 61 labels were created for all of Foster's products, including sample sizes, larger at-home refill sizes, and in-store bulk refill sizes.

The Foster products are divided into 5 categories based on skin type: clarity line for oily skin, renew line for sensitive skin, nourish line for dry or mature skin, protective line for all skin, and products for body. To make the purpose of each product very clear, each category has a key colour, which was used on the labels and all other branding. Clarity is green, renew is blue, nourish is yellow, protective lilac and body is red.
Since each line has multiple products, we used a combination of white and coloured backgrounds for the labels so customers can easily distinguish their products when sitting on their shelf at home. As a general rule, the cleansers are solid colour, toners are white, and face oils are coloured. These three products are the base of the Foster facial skincare routine (with the addition of protective skin cream for SPF protection).

Labels were created to have a few mm of overlap, which would have adhesive to stick the label to itself. Minimizing the amount of adhesive needed on the labels increases their recyclability, and also makes cleaning the bottles easier (and thus making them easier to reuse).
Process Work
In the process of creating labels, I played around with different shapes, colours and the idea of laser cutting out parts of the labels. Different iterations were created using feedback from the Eluma team until I developed a design everyone was excited about.
